MTS PD Day 2018
Each year for the past four years, the Seine River School Division and the Seine River Teachers’ Association have released a joint statement about the importance of the Manitoba Teachers’ Society Professional Development Day. This year, the letter was sent out by divisional email on October 12. It reads:
October 1, 2018
To: All Teaching Staff
The Seine River School Division and the Seine River Teachers’ Association are once again pleased to support the Manitoba Teachers’ Society Professional Development Day occurring on Friday, October 19, 2018.
The day is one that is important for all teachers, whether attending as a learner or as a presenter. The MTS PD Day continues to be supported by Special Area Groups of Educators, and as such, we jointly support and thank those that participate as attendees or presenters. We also extend our gratitude to those schools that will host events.
October 19th is the only day on the school calendar that is set aside for teachers to choose professional development in their area of interest on a provincial basis. By participating in a SAGE event, you are demonstrating your commitment to broadening your skills as an educator in Manitoba.
We encourage you all to support this unique learning and networking opportunity.
Information about the 47th Annual 2018 Manitoba Teachers’ Society Professional Development Day and how to register for SAGE Conferences can be found online at: http://www.mbteach.org/mtscms/2018/08/31/mts-pd-day-oct-19-2018/.
We hope that all SRTA members enjoy their sessions at tomorrow’s professional development day!
